A groundbreaking financial service will soon allow users in the UAE to send money internationally and pay for the transfers later in instalments. Botim, a popular app with over 9 million users, is introducing the “Send Now, Pay Later” (SNPL) programme, marking the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The new service will particularly benefit the UAE’s large expatriate population, offering much-needed financial relief by enabling instant remittance transfers with the flexibility to repay in manageable instalments.
This comes as a solution for those facing financial strain, especially towards the end of the month when funds might be tighter.
Botim’s parent company, Astra Tech, has positioned itself as a leader in fintech innovation. “By leveraging advanced credit infrastructure, we’re offering users a faster and more accessible way to send remittances,” said Abdallah Abu Sheikh, Founder of Astra Tech and CEO of Botim. “This service gives millions of users the flexibility to manage their financial obligations more effectively, while continuing to support their families abroad.”
Botim, launched in 2023 as the world’s first ultra app, already integrates a suite of financial services, including international money transfers and bill payments. The new SNPL programme expands on these features, allowing users to delay upfront payments, further easing their financial burden.
The launch of this innovative service is in line with Astra Tech’s broader mission of promoting financial inclusion in the region. Following its acquisition of a Finance Company License through Quantix, a financial service provider regulated by the Central Bank of the UAE, the company has steadily expanded its range of credit solutions, including SNPL and Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options.
In preparation for the official roll-out, Botim will introduce a pre-registration process for its users, offering early access to this cutting-edge remittance solution. The service aims to offer a more flexible and accessible means for expatriates to manage their financial obligations, all within Botim’s increasingly comprehensive digital platform, which blends fintech, e-commerce, GPT, and communication tools.
With this service, Botim strengthens its position as a go-to app for the UAE’s expatriate community, combining convenience, financial flexibility, and innovative technology to meet the growing needs of its users.
