President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of Somalia, during his working visit to the UAE. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi and was attended by several high-ranking UAE officials, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
During the meeting, the leaders exchanged greetings for the holy month of Ramadan. They also discussed ways to enhance UAE-Somalia relations. Their focus was on economic cooperation, regional stability, and Somalia’s ongoing development efforts. The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Somalia’s growth and stability, highlighting its role in humanitarian and economic initiatives.
Commitment to Strengthening Partnerships
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud expressed gratitude for the UAE’s continued support. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in creating long-term opportunities for the Somali people. The leaders also discussed strategies to strengthen regional partnerships, ensuring mutual economic and social benefits.
High-Level Participation in the Meeting
Several senior UAE officials attended, including H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, and H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation. Other dignitaries included H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, alongside ministers, sheikhs, and government officials.
