Etihad Airways transported 1.6 million passengers in February 2025, achieving an average load factor of 89 per cent, the airline announced.
The Abu Dhabi-based airline recorded a total of 3.3 million passengers in the first two months of 2025, an increase from 2.9 million during the same period in 2024.
“Our passenger numbers in February experienced a strong 14 per cent rise compared to the same time last year, as we remain one of the world’s fastest-growing airlines,” said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, in a statement on Wednesday.
Neves highlighted the airline’s expansion plans for 2025, which include the introduction of 14 new routes. “As our capacity continues to grow, it is encouraging to see that we have sustained a strong passenger load factor of 89 per cent year-to-date, as we gear up for a busy 2025,” he said.
Etihad’s CEO stated that the airline’s fleet is nearing 100 aircraft, with more deliveries planned in 2025, reflecting the company’s growth and commitment to expanding its operational capacity.
These new aircraft will play a crucial role in supporting the airline’s ambitious expansion plans, enhancing operational capacity, and allowing the carrier to introduce new routes while maintaining service excellence.
