Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and Dileita Mohamed Dileita, President of the National Assembly of Djibouti, formalised their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the parliamentary meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
This event, held in conjunction with the Federal National Council as part of COP28, provided the backdrop for the agreement.
In a parallel development, Al Jarwan, in conjunction with Nelly B K Mutti, Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, entered into another MoU.
This agreement aims to promote collaboration and coordinated efforts in the realms of tolerance and peace within the parliamentary sphere, according to WAM.
Separately, the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace extended a warm welcome to Mahmadtoir Zoir Zokirzoda, Chairman of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the accompanying delegation participating in the IPU’s parliamentary meeting.
