Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has initiated the ninth iteration of the DIFC Innovation Hub- FinTech Accelerator Programme, with a particular focus on open banking, AI, automation, innovative payment solutions, hyper-personalisation, and customer experience to enhance financial literacy.
This year, a total of 20 startups will have the opportunity to participate. They will have access to leading banks and insurance companies in the region, along with valuable networking and mentorship prospects.
The FinTech Accelerator Programme will commence with an in-person bootcamp at the DIFC Innovation Hub, featuring workshops led by industry experts and thought leaders. These workshops will offer valuable insights into local laws and regulations, upcoming market trends, technology advancements, recruitment strategies, and funding opportunities.
The programme’s partners for this year include Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company, Emirates NBD, Emirates Post Group, HSBC, Mauritius Commercial Bank, Visa, and Zurich.

The DIFC Innovation Hub accommodates 686 innovative and technology firms, encompassing a diverse range from startups to unicorns. Additionally, DIFC boasts a total of 1,369 active entities engaged in financial and innovation-related activities.
The programme plays a pivotal role in empowering startups by assisting them in converting their ideas into market-ready products and services.
Up to this point, more than 3,000 entrepreneurs have taken part in the FinTech Accelerator Programme, and over 150 fintechs, regtechs, insurtechs, and Islamic finance startups have successfully completed the programme. These graduates have accomplished over 100 proof-of-concepts with prominent financial institutions in the region.
