Emirates will launch its updated Airbus A380s, featuring Premium Economy cabins, on routes to Manchester and Milan this summer. These new services start on June 6 for Manchester and July 1 for Milan, boosting comfort for travelers heading to and from Europe.
This move increases Emirates’ Premium Economy capacity to nearly 5,000 weekly seats in the UK, as part of a broader push to enhance customer experience across key global routes.
Premium Comfort Takes Off in Two New Cities
The upgraded aircraft will operate as EK017/018 to Manchester and EK091/092 to Milan. Also, Manchester will join Emirates’ existing premium network, which includes four daily A380 flights to London Heathrow, a Boeing A350 to Edinburgh, and a refurbished Boeing 777 to London Stansted launching this May.
In Italy, Milan becomes the second city to receive Emirates’ newest cabin features. Bologna will also see the Premium Economy product later in June, served by the new A350.
“These additions expand Emirates’ A380 destinations with upgraded cabins to 19 cities worldwide,” said the airline. “They reflect our commitment to offering premium travel experiences and more cabin choices.”
Wider Reach Across Europe and Asia
By July, passengers flying from Manchester or Milan can enjoy the latest Emirates A380 experience on flights to Asia and Australasia, including cities like Sydney, Singapore, Osaka, Mumbai, and Bangalore.
This rollout supports Emirates’ long-term strategy to offer consistent cabin quality on popular long-haul routes.
A Refined Cabin for Elevated Travel
The Premium Economy cabin, located at the front of the A380’s main deck, offers 56 seats in a 2-4-2 layout. Each seat includes extra legroom, in-seat power, and a side table, creating a comfortable space for both work and rest.
Passengers can enjoy upgraded in-flight services, including gourmet meals, a special drinks menu, and the exclusive Chandon Vintage Brut 2016, served only in Premium Economy.
These features also cater to travelers who want added comfort without moving into full business class, giving more people access to a refined flying experience.
