Dubai South, the largest single-urban master development specialising in aviation, logistics, and real estate, has partnered with UPS, a global logistics leader, to establish a new facility within its Logistics District. This initiative aligns with UPS’s regional expansion strategy, reinforcing its presence in the UAE’s logistics sector.
Tariq Badri, Director of Business Development and Investor Relations, and Andrew Sleiman, VP Legal, India Subcontinent, Middle East & Africa, formalised the agreement in the presence of Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District, Dubai South, and Ismet Demirel, VP Transportation, India Subcontinent, Middle East & Africa.
This new facility will enhance UPS’s operational capabilities in the UAE, bolstering international trade through its extensive global network.

Mohsen Ahmad stated that the partnership underscores Dubai South’s dedication to strengthening Dubai’s role as a global logistics hub. He emphasised that the facility will boost UPS’s efficiency, ensuring seamless trade connectivity and supporting the company’s expansion. With its prime location, advanced infrastructure, and multimodal connectivity, Dubai South remains the preferred choice for logistics firms looking to scale operations in the region.
Ismet Demirel highlighted Dubai’s strategic importance as a global trade hub, citing its world-class infrastructure. He noted that UPS’s investment in the region would enhance business connectivity across the Middle East and link enterprises to over 200 countries, driving efficiency and growth for companies of all sizes.
