Saudi Arabia will present over $100B in investment opportunities as part of its Saudi Aviation Strategy.
The world’s largest aviation investors will gather in Riyadh next month for the Future Aviation Forum (FAF24).
The Investment Showcase, taking place from May 20 to 22, will spotlight projects and incentives aimed at attracting investment into Saudi Arabia’s thriving aviation sector, covering airports, airlines, ground services, cargo, and logistics.
At the heart of the $100B investment opportunities:
- Airports represent over $50B.
- New aircraft orders amount to approximately $40B.
- The remaining $10B encompasses various projects, including $5B allocated for special logistics areas surrounding the main airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.
Minister for Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al Jasser, who will inaugurate FAF24, stated, “Saudi Arabia is offering unparalleled aviation investment opportunities globally, with its ambitious Saudi Aviation Strategy poised to triple passenger numbers, connect to over 250 destinations, and handle 330 million passengers and 4.5 million tons of cargo by 2030.”
Minister for Investment Khalid Al Falih, who will launch the Investment Showcase, remarked, “Saudi Arabia is emerging as the world’s premier investment destination, targeting $3.3T in investment by 2030. Aviation plays a pivotal role in our economic transformation, and the aviation investment showcase will grant investors unprecedented access to participate in this transformation.”
The Showcase will encompass investor briefings, meetings, and panels focusing on major projects such as the extensive six-runway King Salman International Airport in Riyadh and public-private partnerships for international airports in Abha, Taif, Hail, and Qassim.
Additionally, the showcase will present opportunities in cargo and logistics, Advanced Air Mobility, and business aviation. Aviation suppliers will receive updates on expansion plans for new airline Riyadh Air, as well as leading regional airlines like Saudia, Flynas, and Flyadeal.
The event will be attended by global executives from Boeing, Airbus, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Embraer, alongside prominent investors, airlines, airports, cargo, logistics, and aviation services companies.
Speakers will include the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, the Minister of Investment, as well as CEOs from Saudi and global aviation and investment sectors.
