flynas has announced an ambitious expansion plan, aiming to introduce eight new destinations and routes to its UAE network. This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s National Civil Aviation Strategy, which aspires to connect the kingdom with 250 international destinations by 2030.

United Arab Emirates, represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), conducted a series of Air Services Consultations with the Civil Aviation Authority of the People’s Republic of China (CAAC) on 16th and 17th July in Beijing.

“The interest in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is increasing, and there is significant potential. However, the concrete plans we have seen are not yet sufficient. Governments have set clear expectations for the aviation industry to achieve a 5% reduction in CO2 emissions through SAF by 2030 and to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050. They now need to implement policies to ensure airlines can actually purchase SAF in the necessary quantities,” said Willie Walsh.
