Global oil supply disruptions could take several months to recover, according to Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.
Al Jaber said energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz are unlikely to return to normal levels quickly, even if regional tensions ease soon.
The UAE is speeding up work on its West-East Pipeline project to strengthen exports through Fujairah and reduce dependence on the Strait of Hormuz by 2027.
He noted that recent attacks on energy infrastructure and shipping routes have highlighted vulnerabilities within global oil supply chains.
Al Jaber added that the UAE’s continued investments in energy infrastructure are aimed at ensuring stable supplies and enhancing long-term energy security amid geopolitical uncertainty.
