Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum reviewed the progress of a UAE government initiative aimed at transforming 50 per cent of federal sectors and services through Agentic AI within the next two years. The project is designed to enable autonomous execution and AI-driven decision-making across government operations.
The initiative was reviewed in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, alongside senior officials and ministers responsible for the country’s artificial intelligence and digital transformation strategy.
Sheikh Mohammed said integrating artificial intelligence into government operations remains a strategic priority for the UAE, supporting the nation’s vision to improve efficiency, accelerate service delivery and strengthen its position as a global leader in advanced governance.
He highlighted the growing role of AI across government functions, including policy development, service design, operational planning and decision-making, enabling more responsive and around-the-clock public services.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, briefed Sheikh Mohammed on the progress of the project, which is being implemented under the supervision of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The initiative aims to transition half of government operations to AI-powered systems capable of executing tasks independently.
Officials said the programme is expected to simplify procedures, enhance decision-making accuracy and improve service efficiency through integrated federal data systems and advanced digital infrastructure. The project also focuses on developing national AI talent and delivering more proactive government services.
