A delegation from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has concluded a successful visit to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tunis (CCIT), as well as several economic institutions and entities in Tunisia.
During the visit, discussions focused on ways to strengthen collaboration in key economic sectors and enhance cooperation among private sector entities in both countries.
Additionally, both sides explored the potential involvement of Tunisian real estate developers and companies in the upcoming Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition “ACRES”.
The delegation included Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of the Economic Relations and Marketing Department at SCCI; Jamal Saeed Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communication Department at SCCI; and Sultan Abdullah Al Ali, Head of the Investor Services Department at SCCI.
They met with Mohamed Monsif Ben Jomaa, President of CCIT, and other senior officials to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation. Discussions covered the exchange of economic data, investment opportunities, and coordination of events and exhibitions in both nations.
Furthermore, the delegation engaged with Tarek Cherif, President of the Tunisian Confederation of Citizen Enterprises (CONECT), to exchange insights on supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs.
As part of their itinerary, Her Excellency Dr. Eman Al Salami, UAE Ambassador to Tunisia, welcomed the Sharjah Chamber delegation and was briefed on the visit’s objectives and outcomes. Discussions highlighted the role in advancing economic and investment cooperation between both countries and expanding opportunities for collaboration among their business communities.
Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan underscored the Sharjah Chamber’s commitment to strengthening ties with counterparts in Tunisia across various industrial and commercial sectors. He highlighted opportunities for enhancing bilateral trade through reciprocal visits, trade missions, economic forums, and cooperation in exhibitions, crucial for attracting investments and sharing expertise.
During their visit, the Sharjah Chamber delegation visited various Tunisian real estate firms, learning about sustainable projects aligned with high environmental standards.
They extended an invitation to Tunisian companies to participate in the upcoming “ACRES” exhibition, scheduled for early 2025 at Expo Center Sharjah.
