H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, emphasised that economic and investment collaborations with key strategic partners are essential for driving economic progress, promoting sustainable development, and elevating Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a prominent hub for business success and corporate expansion.
This statement was made during Sheikh Saud’s meeting today at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City, where he welcomed Sybille Pfaff, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, along with a delegation from the German-Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK). Senior representatives from the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) were also present at the meeting.
The discussions centred on the bilateral relationship between the UAE and Germany, with particular attention to trade, investment, and innovation. The session also showcased recent advancements within Ras Al Khaimah, particularly in infrastructure, industrial development, and the investment landscape.
The parties explored future avenues for collaboration between RAKEZ and the German-Emirati Council, focusing on facilitating German business activity and expanding joint initiatives. Dialogue included the emirate’s thriving economic conditions, the outlook of German enterprises in the region, and approaches to enhance their operational framework.
The gathering also featured a constructive exchange on potential business ventures and development initiatives in Ras Al Khaimah. It underlined the emirate’s strategic advantages, such as a business-friendly environment, modern infrastructure, and a prime geographical location.
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi was present for the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between RAKEZ and AHK, aimed at establishing a strategic alliance to support shared development objectives and foster mutual advancement.
The MoU was signed by Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ, and Dr. Martin Henkelmann, CEO of AHK. The agreement outlines increased support for both new and existing Council members and RAKEZ partners through collaborative programmes focusing on business development, knowledge sharing, and international engagement.
This agreement reflects ongoing efforts by both parties to deepen strategic cooperation and reinforce the economic and industrial ties between Ras Al Khaimah and the German business sector.
