Dubai Police and Parkin are joining forces by integrating their systems to exchange real-time parking and traffic data across the city. This initiative is designed to enhance enforcement efficiency, ease traffic congestion, and promote greater road safety.
The collaboration, formalized at GITEX Global 2025, links Dubai Police’s traffic management infrastructure with Parkin PJSC’s smart parking and digital payment systems.
This effort aligns with Dubai’s broader objective of achieving comprehensive digital integration across all public services.
Brigadier Issam Ibrahim Al Awar, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, and Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the event, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
Brigadier Al Awar noted that the agreement is part of Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment—under the leadership of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police—to foster collaboration with public and private sector partners and to advance the emirate’s digital transformation strategy.
He emphasized that the integration will empower both entities to leverage cutting-edge technologies for more effective traffic and parking management.
The exchange of live data between the systems is expected to enhance traffic flow, improve operational planning, and support more informed decision-making.
“This initiative represents a major step toward improving road safety in Dubai,” said Brigadier Al Awar. “It will enhance monitoring capabilities, ensure better enforcement of traffic regulations, and reduce incidents involving unpaid fines or unregistered vehicles, all of which contribute to a safer and more efficient transport environment.”
The new system will be able to instantly detect vehicles with outstanding fines or active seizure orders when they enter Parkin-operated areas, allowing authorities to respond quickly and take necessary legal action.
It will also assist in identifying vehicles linked to ongoing investigations, bolstering Dubai Police’s efforts to maintain public safety and uphold the law on the roads.
Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, stated that the partnership underscores the company’s dedication to technological innovation and its role in supporting Dubai’s ambition to become one of the world’s leading smart and sustainable cities.
