His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, visited the third edition of the Make It in the Emirates Forum, held at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre on 27-28 May.
Organised by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, alongside the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), the Forum gathers the UAE’s largest industrial companies and enablers to share their procurement plans and significant investment opportunities, translating these into local manufacturing investments.
These companies prioritise UAE-made products and aim to engage with top local and international businesses interested in investing in UAE-based manufacturing and production.
Sheikh Mansour toured selected exhibitor pavilions at the Forum’s exhibition, showcasing 300 UAE-made products from national and international companies, as well as leading local institutions. The exhibitors are presenting innovative solutions aimed at advancing the industrial sector, enhancing food security, and boosting the national economy.
At the event, 44 major companies are presenting industrial opportunities and locally manufactured products, alongside their technological innovations and solutions, and their visions for the development of national industries.
Sheikh Mansour stated that the industrial sector is a main pillar of the national economy’s progress and diversification, and a key contributor to the Emiratisation drive and the empowerment of Emirati talent in modern manufacturing and advanced technology fields.
“Our nation’s skilled workforce and companies are now competing for success on regional and global stages. This showcases the capabilities of our people and the high quality of our products. Furthermore, the initiatives, including legislation, support structures, financial incentives, and state-of-the-art infrastructure provided by the State, along with a welcoming business environment, are all crucial in attracting investments and talented individuals from around the world.”
Sheikh Mansour added that the Make it in the Emirates Forum highlights national successes and the development achieved in industry and advanced technology, emphasising the UAE’s goal to upgrade priority industries, enhance self-sufficiency in vital products, increase innovation, and adopt artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of products.
“Empowered by our nation’s exceptional talent and capabilities, we are confident in our ability to achieve the national goals, fulfilling the vision set forth by our wise leadership,” Sheikh Mansour concluded.
The Make it in the Emirates Forum aims to support the UAE’s industrial strategy, named ‘Operation 300B’, in line with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology’s objectives to promote economic diversification and increase the industrial sector’s contribution to the GDP to AED 300B by 2031.
The Forum also showcases new investment and local procurement opportunities under the national In-Country Value (ICV) programme and explores trends in innovation and AI.
Building on the success of the first two editions, the third Make it in the Emirates Forum gathers a global audience of investors, manufacturers, industry experts, and innovators, from both the UAE and abroad.
A key focus of the forum is integrating artificial intelligence throughout the manufacturing process. Attendees can participate in insightful dialogue sessions, panel discussions, and learn about new initiatives, benefits, and advancements designed to empower the industrial sector and strengthen its contribution to the national economy.
