From June onwards, Qatar Airways has expanded its list of new destinations to include Kinshasa, aiming to increase flight frequencies and cater to the growing demand from passengers travelling to Africa.
This addition will offer passengers more travel options to Africa, while also creating a new gateway for international travel from Africa to China, Europe, and the Indian Subcontinent via Doha, Qatar.
With the addition of Kinshasa, Qatar Airways will now operate flights to 29 destinations across Africa.
The new route will be serviced by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, featuring 22 business class seats and 232 economy class seats, according to Gulf News.
Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, commented, “The inclusion of Kinshasa in our network reflects our ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity to Africa. Qatar Airways remains committed to the region by providing passengers in Africa with greater options to explore various parts of the world through our extensive network and our hub at Doha’s Hamad International Airport.”
