Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has revealed the operational schedule for its services during the 52nd Union Day holiday, impacting various facilities such as customer happiness centres, paid parking zones, public transportation including buses, Dubai Metro and Tram, marine transport, and vehicle technical inspection centres.
Free Parking:
During the Union Day holiday from December 2 to December 4, public parking will be complimentary, excluding multi-level parking terminals. Regular parking tariffs will resume on December 5.
Dubai Metro:
From November 30 to December 3, the Red and Green Lines will operate from 5 am to 1 am the following day (Thursday to Sunday). Between December 4 and December 10, services will run daily from 5 am to 1 am the next day, and on December 11 to December 12, from 5 am to 1 am the following day (Monday and Tuesday).
Dubai Tram:
Operating from November 30 to December 12, the Dubai Tram will run from Monday to Saturday between 6 am and 1 am the next day and on Sundays from 9 am to 1 am the following day.
Public Buses (Dubai Bus):
From December 1 to December 3, 16 bus routes will be redirected on Sheikh Zayed Road towards Abu Dhabi, causing disruptions between 6:30 am and 11:30 am. Other routes will maintain their regular schedules, operating from 4:30 am to 1 am the next day on weekdays and from 5 am to 1 am the next day on weekends.
Intercity Bus Routes:
Bus routes (E100) and (E102) will be redirected from Ibn Battuta Bus Station from December 1 to December 4. Other routes will operate as usual.
Marine Transport:
Water Bus, Water Taxi, Dubai Ferry, and Abras will follow specific timings during the holiday period.
Service Provider Centres (Vehicle Testing):
Service Provider Centres will be closed from December 2, with vehicle technical inspection services resuming on December 4 at selected centres.
Customer Happiness Centres:
Throughout the holiday, traditional customer happiness centres will be closed, while Smart Customer Happiness Centres in specific locations will maintain their 24/7 operations, according to Gulf Business.
