The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released revised travel guidance for Emirati citizens, emphasising the need to take necessary precautions to safeguard their own safety and that of their families while travelling abroad.
Travellers are advised to ensure their passports remain valid for at least six months prior to departure, complete all visa and health-related formalities, and obtain comprehensive international health insurance covering the entirety of their journey.
Citizens are also encouraged to register themselves and any accompanying family members through the ministry’s Twajudi platform, which facilitates timely assistance from authorities in the event of emergencies.
The ministry highlighted the importance of keeping the dedicated 24/7 emergency contact for UAE nationals abroad, staying updated with official advisories from the destination country, and retaining digital copies of all identification and travel documents.
It further recommended planning trips through reputable international travel agencies and car rental providers, while monitoring road conditions and weather forecasts both before departure and throughout the journey.
