H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with Arab Ministers of Finance participating in the tenth Arab Fiscal Forum, held on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit 2026 in Dubai. Moreover, the meeting was attended by senior leaders, reflecting the forum’s importance within the broader summit agenda.
Focus on Arab fiscal coordination
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed praised the strong Arab participation and, therefore, reaffirmed the close ties between the UAE and Arab countries. Additionally, he underscored the World Governments Summit’s role as a platform that brings together Arab leaders and financial decision-makers to shape shared fiscal and economic visions. He further expressed confidence in the ability of Arab economies to address global challenges through greater integration, coordination, and knowledge exchange.
Forum discussions and global participation
Arab finance ministers commended the UAE’s success in organising the summit and, moreover, highlighted its role in advancing Arab economic cooperation and financial stability. The Arab Fiscal Forum, organised by the Arab Monetary Fund, the International Monetary Fund, and the Ministry of Finance, focused on future fiscal policies. Additionally, sessions examined fiscal challenges, digital policies, artificial intelligence in government, public spending efficiency, development financing, and public-private partnerships.
The World Governments Summit 2026 is witnessing record participation. As a result, it has brought together more than 60 heads of state and government, over 500 ministers, and thousands of global leaders, experts, and executives.
