Trade between the UAE and Kuwait has surpassed $86B in the past decade, according to official figures. The UAE and Kuwait have robust economic and trade relations, evidenced by their trade exchange between 2013 and 2022 totaling AED 317B ($86B).
This figure includes AED 63B ($17.2B) for imports, AED 85.5B ($23.3B) for non-oil exports, and AED 168.5B ($46B) for re-exports.
UAE-Kuwait trade
Trade exchange between the two countries has grown significantly, with a 120.5 per cent increase over the past decade.
In 2022, trade exchange reached AED 44.1B ($12B), compared to AED 20B ($5.4B) in 2012, according to data from the Ministry of Economy.
The value of trade exchange in 2022 saw a growth of more than 14.5 per cent, with AED 7.5B ($2B) in imports, AED 14.3B ($3.9B) in non-oil exports, and AED 22.3B ($6.1B) in re-exports.
The value of trade exchange between the two countries in 2013 amounted to about AED 23.3B ($6.3B), with AED 5.4B ($1.5B) for imports, AED 5.5B ($1.5B) for non-oil exports, and AED 12.4B ($3.4B) for re-exports.
In 2014, the value of trade exchange reached AED 25.7B, divided into AED 5.8B for imports, AED 6.3B for non-oil exports, and AED 13.6B for re-exports.
The volume of trade exchange increased in 2015 to AED 26B, with AED 5.1B for imports, AED 6.8B for non-oil exports, and AED 14.1B for re-exports, according to Arabian Business.
