As global markets scramble to secure specialized talent to meet the growing demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovations, the UAE is emerging as a leading player in the race. The upcoming GITEX GLOBAL 2024, the world’s largest tech and startup event, set to take place from 14-18 October in Dubai, will highlight the country’s bold steps toward building a future AI economy.
With global AI investments expected to reach $200 billion by 2025, according to Goldman Sachs, and the generative AI market alone projected to hit $1.3 trillion by 2032, the demand for AI solutions has never been higher. Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight, an Abu Dhabi-based AI firm, commented during the GITEX Tech Waves podcast: “AI is evolving, and in the coming years, it will lead to smarter, more efficient solutions, benefiting society as a whole.”
At GITEX GLOBAL 2024, over 3,500 leading brands in the AI sector will convene to showcase cutting-edge technologies, explore partnerships, and discuss the industry’s future. The event will address key issues such as ethical AI development, quantum computing, and the impact of AI on sectors like healthcare, education, and finance.
The UAE, positioning itself as a global AI hub, has already integrated AI into several sectors, including public services, energy, and education, under the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence. Dubai’s ambitious AI blueprint aims to boost the emirate’s economy by $27.2 billion annually and enhance productivity by 50% through digital adoption.
GITEX GLOBAL 2024 will also feature a star-studded lineup of speakers, including top AI executives from companies like Adobe, Google, Microsoft, and Nvidia, as well as leading academics and policymakers, cementing Dubai’s status as a center for AI innovation.
