Emirates Nuclear Energy Company (ENEC) has launched ENEC Consulting, a strategic advisory subsidiary aimed at supporting the global expansion of civil nuclear energy programmes and infrastructure. This move follows ENEC’s rebranding efforts and its ambition to become a global leader in nuclear energy solutions. The new subsidiary will leverage over 15 years of experience, particularly from the successful delivery of the UAE Peaceful Nuclear Energy Programme and the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, which achieved full-fleet operations in September 2024.

ADNOC has strengthened its partnership with Malaysia’s PETRONAS by finalising a second 15-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) for liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Ruwais LNG project. The agreement converts an earlier heads of agreement (HoA) into a binding deal, with PETRONAS set to procure one million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG starting in 2028, upon the project’s commercial launch.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan chaired the annual ADNOC Board of Directors meeting, held at ADNOC Headquarters. The board directed ADNOC to pursue Net Zero emissions by 2050, supporting the UAE’s strategic initiative.

UAE’s ADNOC Group has signed a 15-year LNG supply deal with IndianOil to provide 1 million metric tonnes annually, as reported by the Abu Dhabi Media Office. The LNG will primarily be sourced from ADNOC’s low-carbon Ruwais LNG project.

Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has made history by becoming the first institution in the MENA region to receive the prestigious United Nations Small Island Developing States Partnerships Award. This accolade, awarded on behalf of the UAE, recognised the UAE’s top position in the economic category due to ADFD’s groundbreaking initiatives – the UAE Pacific Partnership Fund and the UAE-Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund.
