Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has ordered the exemption of 321 Emiratis from repaying housing loan instalments amounting to AED 101 million.
This decision aligns with the directives of the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The initiative reflects the leadership’s commitment to ensuring a dignified life and social stability for citizens.
The exemption comes as part of the housing programme overseen by the Higher Committee for Development and Citizens Affairs, chaired by Sheikh Hamdan. The initiative aims to meet citizens’ needs, ensure their wellbeing, and support the development of cohesive and stable families.
Sheikh Hamdan stated that Dubai’s leadership places the welfare of citizens at the heart of all development strategies. He emphasised the importance of family stability as a cornerstone of sustainable development and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing all means of support necessary for citizens to lead secure and dignified lives.
The Dubai Crown Prince approved the housing loan exemptions following the recommendation of the Permanent Committee for Citizen Affairs, which studied the social and financial conditions of eligible individuals. The decision is part of ongoing efforts to enhance citizens’ quality of life and support their future aspirations.
