Riyadh : Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has unveiled a significant new development, the Boulevard Business Park, as part of its efforts to establish a creative hub in Riyadh. The project, valued at over SR1bn ($266m), was announced by Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the GEA, and will be located within the “Boulevard City” zone.
This ambitious development will feature more than 60,000 square meters of leasable space, encompassing offices and headquarters for various companies, co-working spaces tailored for entrepreneurs, retail outlets, and concept stores that will host both national and international brands. The park will also boast an outdoor art gallery, a gym, a spa, a suspended pool, and hanging gardens, adding to the area’s appeal.
The Boulevard Business Park is the first phase in a larger urban plan aimed at redesigning and organizing the “Boulevard District” zone, with investments surpassing SR1bn ($266m).
The project is a collaborative effort between the private sector and aims to support Saudi Vision 2030 by empowering entrepreneurs and national companies in the creative industry.
The park will consist of nine office buildings, each with commercial spaces overlooking the iconic “Boulevard City” fountain. This initial phase will introduce a creative business resort, catering specifically to global and national companies specializing in creativity and the arts. To accommodate the influx of visitors and workers, the project will include the construction of over 1,300 parking spaces.
Turki Alalshikh emphasized that the project is designed to enhance the “Boulevard District” by creating an integrated urban environment. “The project aims to redesign and organize the ‘Boulevard District’ to create an integrated urban fabric that connects all zones through the establishment of new urban passageways,” Alalshikh stated. The initiative will also see an increase in green spaces, which will be linked with adjacent projects, including a sports track.
Additionally, the project aims to expand parking capacity and integrate it with the main road network and public transportation, making access easier for both visitors and workers. The Boulevard Business Park is expected to significantly contribute to the growth and sustainability of the creative sector in Saudi Arabia by creating new job opportunities.
Dr. Rakan bin Hussein Al-Harthi, Managing Director of “Sela,” has confirmed the company’s commitment to this initiative, which is being developed in collaboration with the REQ Real Estate Fund, French Capital, and Hay Real Estate Development Company.
