Oman has officially declared Eid Al Fitr 2025 holidays for both the public and private sectors. According to state-run news agency ONA, the holiday period will either last five or nine days, depending on the sighting of the moon.
Holiday Schedule
As per the Royal Orders, the holiday schedule is as follows:
- If Eid Al Fitr falls on Sunday, March 30, official work will resume on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
- If Eid Al Fitr falls on Monday, March 31, official work will resume on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Work During Holidays
The Ministry of Labour stated that businesses may continue operations during the holiday period if necessary. However, employees required to work must be compensated according to Oman’s labour regulations.
This announcement allows individuals and businesses to plan accordingly for the festive period, ensuring a balance between operational needs and holiday celebrations.
