NEOM Megacity is making rapid progress, having completed 20% of its infrastructure already. The $500B megacity in northwest Saudi Arabia aims to accommodate nine million people and feature ambitious projects like The Line, Sindalah, and Oxagon.
To achieve this goal, NEOM has embarked on a fundraising tour across Saudi Arabia, with top executives promoting the project in Jeddah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province.
In addition to fundraising, NEOM is also seeking to attract top talent to various roles in the project, including engineers, technicians, site managers, construction and logistics specialists, as well as prison guards and bankers, With 230 positions currently being advertised by the development, it’s clear that the project’s scale is massive, and it will require a diverse range of expertise and skills in the coming years.
NEOM is currently recruiting a Corrections Director. The role is typically a prison warden position and will be a key part of law and order in the city. Reporting to the Security and Protection Executive Director the role will be in the region’s crucial Security and Protection sector.
NEOM says the candidate will: “Assist the Security and Protection Executive Director in designing and implementing the Corrections function and relevant capabilities in accordance to the NEOM Founding Law and relevant regulations.
“In long term, strive for fulfilling the Corrections mandate to contribute to NEOM public safety and security by implementing NEOM court sentences and actively encouraging and assisting offenders to become law-abiding citizens, while exercising reasonable safe, secure, and humane control.”
The successful candidate will have 10 years of senior experience in prisons, knowledge of relevant prison legislation, standards, inspection and audit processes and a master’s degree in Corrections, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice or a related field.
NEOM Megacity is seeking a Head of Banking to lead its Financial Services Authority. The megacity has advertised the position, which involves overseeing the prudential activities of the Banking division, from licensing and product authorization to supervision, in alignment with the Financial Services Authority’s strategic and business objectives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient risk-based supervision consistent with the Financial Services Authority’s risk tolerance. The Banking division is a critical strategic pillar within NEOM’s Financial Services Sector, and the FSS aims to offer tailored banking services and regulations that align with the FSS’s strategy and vision.
The goal is to have progressive rules and regulations that promote financial inclusion and best practices. The Head of Banking at NEOM Megacity is responsible for maintaining and updating a strategy that aligns with the latest trends and the vision of the Financial Services Sector (FSS) while executing a roadmap with the technical team. The goal is to design, build, deploy, and innovate the Banking division continuously, providing banking requirements to the leading tech and support teams.
The role includes creating an open, competitive, and healthy ecosystem within the regulatory environment, allowing financial institutions, fintech companies, and other ecosystem players to thrive. The Head of Banking will also need to promote product knowledge and financial viability in a robust and efficient way, developing and leading the division toward this goal.
