Dubai has been recognized as the world’s cleanest city, which is another significant accomplishment for the city. This acknowledgment was made by the Mori Memorial Foundation in Japan, through the Global Power City Index.
After learning of this achievement, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, expressed his pride on Twitter. He emphasized that cleanliness is not only about hygiene but also reflects culture and faith. The UAE Vice President highlighted that preserving the city’s safety, stability, and prosperity is critical since they are closely connected to the city’s cleanliness and overall quality of life.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid tweeted that Dubai has been recognized as the cleanest city in the world by the Mori Memorial Foundation’s Global Power City Index for the past three years. He believes that cleanliness is a cornerstone of civilization and culture and is proud that Dubai is not only the cleanest but also the safest and most beautiful city in the world.
He calls for everyone to work together to maintain its safety, stability, and prosperity. The Global Power City Index evaluates and ranks major cities based on their comprehensive power to attract people, capital, and enterprises from around the world, measuring six functions including the environment, and providing a multidimensional ranking that captures the strengths, weaknesses, and challenges of global cities in a continuously changing world.
