Dubai Future Forum is set to commence today, organized by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and spanning two days at the Museum of the Future.
The forum’s focal points include reimagining nature, empowering future generations, the human-machine relationship, and transformations in human life, according to Gulf Business.
Over 150 speakers from the UAE and worldwide will engage in 70-panel discussions, keynote speeches, and workshops covering diverse areas such as space, sustainability, the environment, energy, food, health, medicine, education, technology, artificial intelligence, digital economy, governance, and more.
With more than 2,500 futurists from 100 countries and around 100 international institutions attending, the forum’s activities on the first day will encompass panel discussions, keynotes, fireside chats, workshops, and presentations by notable figures such as Ambassador Majid Al-Suwaidi and NASA astronauts.
Keynotes on Sustainable Policies, Healthcare Innovations, and Futuristic Travel
The second day will kick off with a keynote address by Ohood Al Roumi, UAE Minister of State for Government Development and Future, discussing effective, sustainable policies. Subsequent keynotes will feature Dr Mary Lou Jepsen, CEO of Openwater, addressing disease diagnosis and cures, and Professor Marc Buckley, regenerative futurist, discussing quantum computing, city planning, ethical algorithmic decision-making, and the future of travel in 2071.
Additionally, the second day will witness the launch of the UNICEF Youth Foresight Playbook in a dedicated workshop. On the sidelines, Dubai Future Labs, in collaboration with Japan Science and Technology Agency and the MIT Senseable Dubai Lab, will showcase advancements in robotics, automation, and data for understanding the urban landscape.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience cultivated meat, lab-created chocolate, and animal-free eggs and milk in a special activation.
