Dubai, UAE – Dubai Land Department, in its capacity as a Strategic Partner and in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council and Dubai Club for People of Determination, are hosting the Fazza International Championships for People of Determination 2025.
These championships rank among Dubai’s premier annual global sporting events, uniting elite athletes of determination in society, celebrate their remarkable contributions, and reaffirm Dubai’s dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming environment for everyone.
Taking place from 6th to 13th February, the championships will feature over 3,000 athletes from 70 countries, showcasing extraordinary talent, resilience, and a shared spirit of equality. Organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this event underscores Dubai’s role as a global hub for sports and inclusion.
In his speech, His Excellency Majid Al Usaimi, Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized the championships’ broader vision: “It’s not just about medals. Through sports, we discover the gateway to overcoming challenges, restoring social and educational skills, and fostering a legacy of inclusion.”
Dubai has transformed into a global provider of sports training programs and workshops, reflecting the emirate’s commitment to innovation and empowerment. The event unites private and public sectors, honoring contributions from Dubai Sports Council, Dubai Club for People of Determination, and the Dubai Land Department.
This year’s highlights include:
- 10,000 attendees and 600 media outlets covering the event.
- Participation of 2,800 female para-athletes, marking a record in representation.
- They hold significance as UAE athletes will aim to achieve minimum qualification standards for the World Championships, Asian Games, and Paralympics.
Celebrated UAE athletes, such as Sara Al Senani (Bronze, 2016 Paralympics), Noura Alktebi (Silver, 2016 Paralympics) and Mohammed Al Qayed (Gold, Japan 2020), began their journey through Dubai’s initiatives for People of Determination, embodying the city’s legacy of excellence.
This initiative not only builds pathways for the determined but also promotes a vision where humanity thrives through inclusivity.
