Expo Centre Sharjah (ECS) has inked a collaboration deal with MIE Events to debut the Middle East Electric Vehicle Show (MEEVS) in 2025 at the Centre. This agreement heralds the arrival of the most significant event in the electric vehicle industry, featuring over 100 global brands.
The primary objective of this grand event is to spotlight the future of eco-friendly transportation, exhibiting the newest electric, hydrogen, and hybrid vehicle models, as well as electric bikes, alongside state-of-the-art solutions and technologies within the electric transport sector.
The signing ceremony was held at the Centre’s headquarters and attended by Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, and David Wang, Chairman and CEO of MIE Events, along with various officials from both entities.
As per the agreement, both parties will collaborate towards the success of the exhibition, introducing the regional audience to the latest innovations in electric vehicles (EVs) from diverse brands and manufacturers.
The exhibition will showcase electric vehicle components and systems, including motors, electronic control units, and battery management systems, with participation from charging service providers and integrated renewable energy solutions, showcasing advancements in the EV industry at large.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa highlighted that the partnership to organise an electric vehicle exhibition at Expo Sharjah is a strategic manoeuvre to align with global shifts in sustainable technology and its emerging industrial applications in transportation. It seeks to strengthen the presence of electric vehicle manufacturers in UAE markets and accelerate EV adoption to reduce the transportation sector’s carbon footprint, aligning with the “UAE Net Zero by 2050” strategic initiative and circular economy principles, while also fostering economic development.

The EV sector signifies a promising future for the global industry. Including this sector in Expo Sharjah’s roster of events underscores the Centre’s dedication to organising more specialised exhibitions that bring the latest developments and technologies to the UAE and regional public.
Al Midfa expressed optimism that MEEVS 2025 would serve as a significant platform for EV manufacturers, suppliers, investors, and experts to discuss and showcase the latest innovations, facilitating the exchange of experiences and insights and fostering strategic partnerships to propel progress in the region’s EV sector.
