Small businesses in Dubai will receive e-commerce support through a partnership between the Dubai government and Noon, a major UAE online retailer.
The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has teamed up with Noon to launch a programme aimed at driving growth for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Dubai. This partnership is part of the Dubai Traders initiative, one of the key projects under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with the aim of empowering SMEs to adopt digital tools and expand both locally and globally.
Noon will assist SMEs in establishing an online presence, digitising their supply chains, and tapping into e-commerce opportunities. The initiative will also foster partnerships with digital solution providers to offer SMEs essential tools and support for engaging with online customers.
The agreement, signed by Hadi Badri of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation and Faraz Khalid of Noon, will help SMEs develop a strong e-commerce presence. Incentives include onboarding support, training, advertising credits, and access to Noon’s fast delivery service. Emirati sellers will also receive additional benefits through Noon’s Mahali programme.
This partnership highlights the collaboration between the Dubai government and the private sector to support SMEs and drive the city’s digital economy, in line with D33’s vision.
