Dubai Chamber of Commerce, part of Dubai Chambers, shared notable achievements for 2024. By year-end, active membership grew 18 percent, reaching 258,318 members.
A total of 70,500 new companies joined, marking a 3 percent increase from 2023. This reflects Dubai’s growing importance as a business and investment hub.
Exports and re-exports by chamber members surpassed AED 300B for the first time, reaching AED 309.6B, a 9.2 percent growth. Additionally, the chamber issued 791,115 Certificates of Origin, an 8 percent increase, and processed ATA Carnets for goods valued at AED 4.3B.
Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, stated that Dubai is strengthening its position as a global business hub, fostering growth across all sectors. He emphasised the chamber’s role in supporting economic development and creating opportunities for businesses locally and internationally.
In 2024, the chamber worked with Business Groups to review 107 laws, resulting in a 58 percent adoption rate for recommendations. It also established nine new Business Councils, representing investors from countries such as Greece, Poland, and Mexico.
The chamber handled 171 mediation cases, a 21.3 percent rise, with 88 percent resolved successfully. It also held 38 legal workshops attended by 2,698 private sector representatives to ensure regulatory compliance.
The Dubai Centre for Family Businesses conducted four training programmes and launched five Governance Series sessions. The chamber also introduced an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) label, awarding 27 companies for their sustainability efforts in 2024.
