Dubai Airports announced on Wednesday that it will introduce several enhancements over the coming months, including color-coded parking areas designed to simplify navigation. “As part of Dubai Airports’ continuous efforts to enhance the guest experience, with a focus on operational excellence and seamless travel experiences, new developments will be rolled out in the coming months. These include color-coded car parks for easier navigation,” the statement read.
Finding your car at Dubai International Airport (DXB) will soon be much easier, thanks to upcoming developments.
With hundreds of thousands of residents and tourists using DXB’s three terminals daily, and many more visiting to see off or receive loved ones, these new color-coded parking areas will make it easier for motorists to find their vehicles.
Dubai International’s website details parking fees, with charges at Terminal 1 ranging from Dh15 per hour to Dh125 per day, and Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 having similar rates. An additional day’s parking costs Dh100.
Additionally, flydubai offers a convenient option for its passengers, allowing them to pre-book parking at Terminal 2, reducing the hassle of finding a spot on arrival. “You can pre-book a parking space at Dubai International Airport, Terminal 2, for long-term and short-term durations through flydubai for as low as Dh50 per day. You only need to scan the QR code provided on your booking confirmation to enter the car park you selected (Arrival A1 or Departure A2),” according to the flydubai website.
Less Than 10 Minutes of Waiting Time
Dubai International Airport reported a record 44.9 million passengers in the first six months of this year, an 8 percent increase year-on-year. Flight movements totaled 216,000, up 7.2 percent from the same period last year, with January being the busiest month with 7.9 million guests.
DXB’s real-time monitoring system has been instrumental in managing passenger flow, ensuring minimal wait times at key touchpoints. In the first half of 2024, 98 percent of guests waited less than 10 minutes at departure passport control, and the same percentage waited less than 15 minutes at arrival passport control. Additionally, 95 percent of guests at departure security screening waited less than three minutes.
In another effort to enhance the guest experience, DXB will also introduce a new signature aroma in the VIP Al Majlis facility to create a welcoming atmosphere.
