The Ajman Chamber and the Ministry of Economy (MoE) explored ways to strengthen cooperation to boost exports and simplify the process of issuing certificates of origin through enhanced services.
This initiative aims to promote trade, streamline export procedures, and improve flexibility as part of the national “Zero Government Bureaucracy” programme.
Mohamed Ali Al Janahi, Acting Director General of Ajman Chamber, and Badriya Yousef Al Maidor, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector at the MoE, attended the meeting held at the Thara Centre for Entrepreneurship.
Al Janahi praised the ministry’s efforts in creating a business-friendly economic environment that enhances growth and competitiveness. He emphasised the significance of cooperation in boosting exports by simplifying procedures and enhancing digital services for issuing certificates of origin, thereby enhancing the private sector’s ability to compete in regional and global markets.
The discussion underscored the necessity for improved coordination between relevant entities to share expertise, optimise processes, and establish an efficient system promoting flexibility, innovation, and ease of doing business. It also highlighted the importance of holding regular joint meetings between government bodies and the private sector to tackle challenges and develop effective solutions.
