ADNOC announced that its supply chain partners will invest AED3 billion (USD817 million) to develop manufacturing facilities across the UAE.
The company made this announcement during the ongoing ‘Make it in the Emirates’ forum in Abu Dhabi.
The facilities will operate in several locations, including the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD), Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), Dubai Industrial Park, Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone), and Umm Al Qaiwain.
These facilities will create over 3,500 skilled private sector jobs and will produce a wide variety of industrial products, such as pressure vessels, pipe coatings, and fasteners.
ADNOC facilitated the development of these facilities by signing commercial agreements with companies under its In-Country Value (ICV) programme.
Through the ICV initiative, ADNOC enables businesses to access a broad range of commercial opportunities, as it works towards manufacturing AED90 billion (USD24.5 billion) worth of products locally by 2030.
Yaser Saeed Almazrouei, ADNOC’s Executive Director of People, Commercial and Corporate Support, said: “Our partners are strengthening local manufacturing by investing in these advanced facilities, which will boost the UAE’s industrial capacity and create skilled private sector roles. These investments demonstrate our commitment to the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ initiative and our efforts to localise key industrial capabilities through the ICV programme. We look forward to continuing our collaboration to ensure operational continuity and unlock further opportunities for sustainable growth and economic diversification.”
ADNOC and its partners have launched new facilities, expanded existing ones, and made firm investment pledges. These cutting-edge facilities support both current and future procurement needs, reinforcing ADNOC’s commitment to the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ vision.
Since 2018, ADNOC has driven AED242 billion into the UAE economy through its ICV programme and has enabled the creation of 17,000 private sector jobs for UAE Nationals.
