ADNOC has announced the exchange of two strategic collaboration agreements with Indian partners, further strengthening the UAE–India energy partnership amid deepening bilateral cooperation.
The agreements expand ADNOC’s existing engagements with Indian companies across crude oil, LNG and LPG supply, as well as energy storage initiatives. They are designed to support India’s rising energy demand and contribute to its long-term economic growth trajectory.
Dr Sultan Al Jaber, ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, said: “India’s scale and growth trajectory make it one of the defining energy markets of our time. As demand accelerates alongside a rapidly expanding population, the strength of the UAE–India energy partnership becomes ever more critical. These agreements reinforce supply security, deepen our strategic ties, and underscore ADNOC’s role as a dependable and reliable partner in powering India’s long-term economic growth.”
ADNOC exchanged a strategic collaboration agreement with Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited to explore opportunities across crude oil, LNG and LPG storage, as well as strategic reserve development. The discussions include a potential expansion of ADNOC’s crude storage capacity in India to up to 30 million barrels, covering existing facilities in Mangalore and potential new sites in Visakhapatnam and Chandikol.
The agreement also considers potential crude storage in Fujairah as part of India’s strategic petroleum reserve framework, alongside LNG and LPG storage opportunities in India. These initiatives aim to enhance energy security and strengthen the resilience of UAE–India supply chains in the context of evolving global shipping dynamics.
In a separate agreement, ADNOC partnered with Indian Oil Corporation to explore expanded LPG supply and trading opportunities, including through ADNOC Global Trading.
This builds on their existing LPG term contract established in 2023 and supports the potential development of a long-term LPG sale and purchase arrangement.
The collaboration reinforces ADNOC’s position as a dependable LPG supplier to India while deepening integration across supply and logistics networks.
