H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met with Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, to explore avenues for deepening bilateral relations between the UAE and Brazil. The meeting took place during the Crown Prince’s visit to Rio de Janeiro on the sidelines of the 17th BRICS Summit.
President Lula warmly welcomed H.H. Sheikh Khaled and the accompanying UAE delegation. He praised the long-standing ties between the two nations and emphasised the importance of expanding cooperation in sectors that support shared interests and sustainable development.

During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Khaled conveyed greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with best wishes for the continued health and prosperity of Brazil and its people. The Crown Prince reaffirmed the UAE’s pride in its strategic relationship with Brazil. He highlighted the five-decade-long partnership grounded in mutual respect, trust, and a shared vision of inclusive development.
