The Government of Kerala announced the Invest Kerala Global Summit 2025, a premier investment conference to be held on February 21-22, 2025, at the Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre, Grand Hyatt, Bolgatty, Kochi. This summit will present Kerala’s investment landscape and economic opportunities to global investors, industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers, fostering dialogue on sustainable development and economic advancement.
Minister for Industries, Law & Coir, P. Rajeev, conducted a Roadshow on January 14, 2025, at the Taj Hotel, Business Bay, Dubai. The event was attended by prominent business leaders, including Yusuff Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group International, and Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare among others. Their participation demonstrated the international business community’s confidence in Kerala’s economic trajectory.
Five priority sectors for investment were identified, which included: Information Technology, Sustainable Tourism, Healthcare Services, Renewable Energy, and Agro-Processing Industries, aligning with Kerala’s vision of balanced development, incorporating environmental sustainability, social progress, and industrial growth. The state’s developmental approach emphasizes the strategic integration of natural resources, human capital, and industrial advancement to create a sustainable economic ecosystem.
Key highlights of Kerala’s investment landscape include:
•Nearly 5% of India’s MSMEs are based in Kerala, with a notable surge of 3.21 lakh new enterprises in the last three years.
•Women Entrepreneurs account for 32% of these businesses, contributing over 1 lakh enterprises.
•Recognized with one of the highest rankings enterprises in the last 3 yearsThe state’s infrastructure is supported by 4 International Airports, 2 Major Seaports, and an extensive network of highways, railways, and inland waterways, ensuring seamless connectivity for businesses.
The Dubai Roadshow provided a platform for comprehensive discussions on Kerala’s emergence as a prime investment destination where sustainable growth aligns with responsible business practices. The state’s development framework promotes an environment where economic progress serves to enhance both business outcomes and social welfare while preserving natural resources for future generations.
Rajeev emphasized Kerala’s strategic advantages, stating, “Kerala offers significant opportunities for strategic investment, supported by our skilled workforce, world-class infrastructure, and commitment to sustainable development principles.”
