Abdulaziz Al Ghurair, Chairman of UAE Banks Federation, said: “UBF congratulates His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates NBD, the Board of Directors of the Bank, its management and all its employees on the 60th anniversary of the Bank. The national banking and financial institution that has established itself locally and internationally as one of the most prominent banking and financial institutions.”

His Excellency, the Chairman of the UAE Banks Federation, emphasized Emirates NBD’s pivotal role in bolstering the banking sector’s leadership since its inception in 1963.
The late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum signed the charter of incorporation of the National Bank of Dubai (NBD) in 1963, marking its establishment as the first national bank in the UAE. This entity later evolved into Emirates NBD following the merger with Emirates International Bank in 2007.
