ADNOC said it is accelerating delivery of its growth strategy through AED 200 billion ($55 billion) in planned project awards over 2026 to 2028. Moreover, the awards support the company’s five-year capital expenditure plan approved last year and reflect a new phase of large-scale project execution across its value chain to meet rising global energy demand.
The announcement came during the ‘Make it With ADNOC’ Forum, which brought together major engineering, procurement, and construction contractors with 70 local manufacturers listed under ADNOC’s ‘Local+’ programme. Additionally, the initiative forms part of the company’s In-Country Value programme and aims to position Made in the Emirates products as a priority across ADNOC’s procurement and project delivery requirements.
The planned awards cover both upstream and downstream operations. As a result, ADNOC said the programme will support industrial resilience, expand local manufacturing capacity, and advance the wider ‘Make it in the Emirates’ initiative.
Focus on Execution and Local Value Creation
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, said: “In line with the directives of the UAE Leadership to advance the UAE’s energy and industrial sectors, ADNOC is entering a defining execution phase in its strategy, driven by scale, pace, and a laser focus on delivery. This marks a new chapter of growth and resilience to meet rising global energy demand while strengthening and expanding the UAE’s industrial and manufacturing base.
“As we deliver on this phase of growth, we are bringing together leading EPC contractors with 70 top UAE manufacturers to enhance accountability, maximize in country value and ensure Made in the Emirates products are first-choice across our projects, and are at the core of how we procure, build and execute. We invite partners who can move at the pace of the UAE’s ambitions, match flawless execution with rock-steady reliability and demonstrate an unwavering focus on local value creation to join us in this new chapter of our journey.”
Forum Highlights Project Pipeline and Supplier Engagement
The forum, convened by Dr. Al Jaber, drew more than 400 participants from government entities, private sector companies, and EPC contractors. Additionally, it provided industry partners with greater visibility into ADNOC’s multi-billion-dollar project pipeline, highlighting manufacturing opportunities linked to the company’s investment plans.
The event also outlined ADNOC’s approach to early engagement and long-term performance-based partnerships. Moreover, ADNOC said its project delivery model focuses on faster execution, stronger governance, and wider market participation, supporting deeper integration across the national industrial ecosystem.
Next Steps Ahead of Make it in the Emirates
Building on this momentum, ADNOC plans to launch ‘ADNOC Value Connect meet the buyer’ on 5 and 6 May during Make it in the Emirates. Additionally, the initiative aims to connect more than 1,000 companies, including SMEs, with key suppliers and EPC contractors to support partnership formation and strengthen supply chain resilience.
The forum took place ahead of Make it in the Emirates 2026, scheduled for May 4 to 7 at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi. Moreover, the event is hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and ADNOC.
