Sharjah-based master developer Arada has appointed Parkin Company, Dubai’s largest paid public parking operator, as the exclusive service provider for its flagship Aljada development.
This agreement signals Parkin’s debut in Sharjah, marking an important step in its strategy to expand beyond Dubai and diversify its geographic footprint.
Under the terms of the deal, Parkin will oversee a diverse mix of parking assets, including on-street, off-street, and building facilities across retail centres, commercial spaces, and residential properties within Aljada.
The rollout is expected to introduce up to 9,900 parking spaces in phases between 2026 and 2030.
Parkin noted that the full portfolio will be divided into two primary segments, with development and execution taking place in multiple stages.
The on- and off-street segment will account for up to 3,500 spaces, with around 1,400 spaces anticipated to be operational by early Q3 2026.
Meanwhile, the building-based parking portfolio is projected to include approximately 6,400 spaces, with about 400 spaces set to go live by the end of Q2 2026.
The remaining capacity across both segments will be gradually introduced through to 2030.
Commenting on the partnership, CEO Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali highlighted that expanding beyond Dubai represents a key growth driver for Parkin, adding that the agreement with Arada enables the company to establish its presence in Sharjah for the first time.
He further noted that the collaboration will deploy Parkin’s advanced smart parking system, where entry, exit, and payments are managed via camera-based technology and automated billing through the Parkin wallet, delivering a seamless user experience.
All sites within the project will be integrated into Parkin’s smart ecosystem, using fully automated, camera-enabled access and payment solutions supported by digital wallet functionality.
Parkin has outlined a capital investment of approximately AED8 million to AED10 million (USD2.1 million to USD2.8 million) over the duration of the contract to support the development and implementation of the parking infrastructure.
