Dubai International Airport (DXB) welcomed 95.2 million passengers in 2025, surpassing its previous pre-pandemic high and reinforcing its position as the world’s busiest international airport. Speaking to reporters on 11 February, CEO Paul Griffiths highlighted the milestone as a reflection of sustained global demand and Dubai’s continued aviation strength.
Passenger volumes increased by 3 per cent year on year, supported by a 5 per cent rise in visitors to Dubai, which reached 19.6 million. The city’s strategic role as a transit hub connecting Europe, Asia and Africa continued to underpin growth. India remained DXB’s largest origin and destination market with 11.9 million passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia at 7.5 million and the United Kingdom at 6.3 million. The airport is currently served by 108 airlines operating routes to 291 cities across 110 countries.
For travellers planning a UAE stopover, or companies coordinating business travel, VisaHQ offers a simplified solution for securing entry permits. Its online platform for UAE visa processing provides clear guidance on documentation requirements, fees and processing timelines, helping applicants ensure their paperwork is complete before arriving at DXB and allowing them to focus on business or leisure in the emirate.
