The UAE and the Republic of Kosovo have signed a memorandum of understanding, mutually exempting ordinary, diplomatic, special, and mission passport holders from visa requirements.
As per the MoU, UAE citizens with valid passports for at least six months can enter Kosovo without a visa and stay for up to 90 days per visit.
In reciprocation, Kosovo citizens with valid diplomatic, official, and ordinary passports are waived from visa requirements for entering the UAE.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, expressed the significance of this move during a telephone call, emphasizing its role in bolstering bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of both nations.
The MoU signing was conducted by Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Xhabir Hamiti, the Ambassador of Kosovo to the United Arab Emirates.
This agreement is a pivotal step in fortifying bilateral ties and easing travel between the two countries. It also signifies a crucial stride towards enhancing cooperation in various domains, encompassing politics, economics, culture, and education, according to Arabian Business.
In a related discussion, the top diplomat of the United Arab Emirates and the Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo deliberated on advancing bilateral relations across all sectors during their telephone call. Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the growing ties and the shared commitment to further enhance them to serve their mutual interests.
