The Dubai Sports Council has become a Partner for the fifth edition of the Gov Games, solidifying the collaboration through a memorandum of understanding with the Organising Committee.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, is patronizing the 2024 Gov Games scheduled from 29 February to 3 March.
Since its launch in 2018, Gov Games has evolved into a prominent team sports event in Dubai, challenging the physical and mental capabilities of government employees worldwide.

Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, expressed pride in continuing the strategic partnership with Gov Games 2024, highlighting the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The longstanding association with the event since its inception has witnessed remarkable growth, attracting competitive teams from diverse nations and various sectors, according to WAM.
In the current edition, we anticipate diverse participating categories and heightened competition as teams diligently prepare for months. Each participant, from various companies and sectors locally and internationally, contributes to the event’s success and is considered a winner.
Gov Games Director Delighted to Extend Partnership with Dubai Sports Council
Marwan bin Issa, Director of Gov Games, expressed delight in extending the partnership with the Dubai Sports Council for the fifth consecutive edition. The shared goal is to underscore the vital role of sports in the physical and mental wellbeing of people of all ages. The collaboration aims to strengthen ties between organizations and cities, fostering unity through sports and highlighting the influential role of the Dubai Sports Council in promoting a positive and healthy environment.
The 2024 Gov Games, officially partnered with DP World and sponsored by Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) and Damac Properties, will introduce a new category for junior participants aged 10 to 13. This addition aims to instil strategic thinking, teamwork, and mental and physical strength among youth, providing an enriching experience for character development and self-improvement.
The previous four editions of Gov Games achieved considerable success, with over 4,500 participants engaging in Battler of the Government, Battle of Community, and Battle of the Cities.
