The UAE Accountability Authority and Indonesia’s Audit Board have formalised a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) designed to enhance bilateral collaboration in protecting public resources and promoting sound governance principles.
The signing took place at the UAE Accountability Authority’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi during a meeting between Humaid Obaid Abushibs, Chairman of the Authority, and Dr Isma Yatun, Chairwoman of the Audit Board of Indonesia. The agreement forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen oversight ties between the two nations.
The MoU outlines various areas of cooperation, such as the exchange of expert knowledge, sharing of best practices in auditing, accounting, and public resource oversight. It also supports joint participation in training initiatives and capacity-building efforts, in addition to coordination at relevant events and conferences.
Moreover, the MoU highlights both countries’ shared commitment to raising governance standards across key sectors, thereby contributing to sustainable development and reinforcing global economic stability and security.
