The UAE has lowered fuel prices for the upcoming month of May.
From May 1st, Super-98 petrol will cost AED 3.66 per litre, down 2.13% from AED3.74 per litre last month. Special-95 will cost AED 3.55 per litre, a 1.9 percent decrease over the AED3.62 it cost in April.
On the other hand, the price of diesel has been up 1.49 percent from AED4.02 in April to AED4.08 per litre.
The price of OPEC’s basket of fifteen crude oils stood at $105.33 a barrel on Wednesday, April 27th, according to OPEC Secretariat calculations.
The OPEC Reference Basket of Crudes (ORB) consists of the following 15 member countries – namely Algeria, Angola, Congo, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.
