UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi is writing a new chapter in the history of the nation in space, with the launch of the historic “longest Arab mission in space.”
AlNeyadi, the second Emirati to fly the UAE flag into space, will soon be the first long-term mission expert in the Arab world. He will spend 180 days on board the International Space Station (ISS) alongside his fellow crew members from NASA and Roscosmos, doing studies that will greatly advance humanity’s understanding of life on and beyond Earth.
Al Neyadi, 41, will take to the International Space Station the aspirations of the late H. H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the nation, as well as the hopes and goals of the UAE leaders and people and all Arabs.
