President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt and the President of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met in Cairo to discuss strengthening the relationship between their two countries. The leaders exchanged views on regional and international developments and explored opportunities for collaboration between the UAE and Egypt.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the importance of enhancing the longstanding relationship between the two countries, while President El Sisi expressed his pride in the close relationship between both nations and their people. The Egyptian President also hosted an Iftar banquet in honor of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and his delegation, and saw them off at Cairo International Airport, according to WAM.
Accompanying His Highness the President at the meeting and banquet were several members of the delegation, including H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who serves as Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court, H.E. Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security, and H.E. Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt.
The meeting was also attended by Egyptian officials, including Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Major General Abbas Kamel, Director of the General Intelligence Directorate, and Counsellor Ahmed Fahmy, Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency.
