His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced the launch of a new endowment district valued at AED 4.7 billion (around USD 1.28 billion), established under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. The project’s revenues will be dedicated to supporting global education, healthcare, and humanitarian programmes.
The Dubai Endowment District will include a hospital designed to treat around 90,000 patients annually, a medical university, several schools accommodating more than 5,000 students, 2,000 residential units, a boulevard, and a range of retail properties owned by the endowment.
Sheikh Mohammed revealed the initiative on his official X account, expressing gratitude for the successful launch of a project valued at AED 4.7 billion that will continuously fund educational and healthcare initiatives across the world.
He extended appreciation to contributors and partners — particularly Azizi Developments — as well as to all those helping sustain Dubai’s enduring legacy of generosity and charitable giving.
Sheikh Mohammed concluded his statement with a message of thanks, praying for divine acceptance of all good deeds and continued prosperity for the UAE and its people.
