The Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s “New Horizons” initiative has expanded its reach to 27 high-potential international markets, primarily across Asia and Africa, creating new growth opportunities for Dubai-based companies seeking global expansion.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah revealed that the initiative enabled more than 6,000 meetings between Dubai businesses and overseas companies by the end of 2025, helping strengthen trade ties, investment opportunities, and cross-border collaborations.
During a trade mission to Ethiopia, Lootah stated that the programme has enhanced partnerships with chambers of commerce and government institutions worldwide while supporting companies in building direct business relationships in international markets.
He explained that the chamber aims to continue developing the initiative further by expanding communication channels between member companies and strategic markets across the globe.
Launched in 2023, the initiative supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the “Dubai Global” strategy, which focuses on helping local businesses explore opportunities in 30 priority international markets.
Lootah also highlighted the strong trade relationship between Dubai and Ethiopia, noting that bilateral trade increased from USD454M in 2013 to nearly USD6.1B in 2025, reflecting the significant growth potential of the Ethiopian market.
He added that the increasing global confidence in Dubai companies, backed by the emirate’s competitive business environment and international reputation, has contributed significantly to the initiative’s success.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce also achieved strong growth in 2025, with members’ exports and re-exports rising to AED356.5B from AED309.6B in 2024, marking annual growth of 15.1 per cent.
